In the first quarter of 2023, the top five beauty retail apps in Portugal demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a detailed look at the trends for each app based on data from Sensor Tower.

Sephora - Maquilhagem e Perfum experienced a downward trend in weekly downloads, starting from around 5K in late December and stabilizing at just over 2K by the end of March. The app’s weekly active users also fluctuated, peaking at approximately 3.4K at the beginning of the quarter and settling at around 2.8K towards the end.

For LOOKFANTASTIC: Beauty & Makeup, weekly downloads remained relatively stable, averaging around 350 downloads per week. However, the app saw a gradual decline in weekly active users, from about 8.8K at the start of the quarter to 6.9K by the end of March.

Douglas – Perfumes e Cosmética had modest download figures, with weekly downloads ranging between 150 and 500 throughout the quarter.

BEAUTY BAY recorded very low download numbers, mostly staying below 50 per week. The app’s weekly active users also saw a slight decline from around 300 at the beginning of the quarter to approximately 270 by the end of March.

Lastly, Perfumerías DRUNI had minimal weekly downloads, generally not exceeding 35 per week. Despite this, its weekly active users showed a slight increase, starting from about 150 and rising to around 180 by the end of the quarter.
